Medical Content Analyst, Automation (AI)

What you will do

• Review and validate AI-generated CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, and other claims data elements.
• Verify coding and billing guidelines and confirm the accuracy of AI-generated data extracts.
• Identify anomalies and defects in AI data outputs and provide timely feedback to improve model performance.
• Monitor medical coding and billing regulatory changes and contribute to continuous improvement of AI tools.
• Help develop coding guidelines for AI-assisted workflows and validate policy and rule suitability.
• Serve as a medical coding subject matter expert for Clinical, technical, and product stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health information management, Nursing, or another healthcare-related field.
• Active AAPC CPC, AHIMA CCS-P, or AHIMA CCS certification.
• At least 5 years of relevant healthcare experience, including 3 years in medical coding, chart review, auditing, or abstraction.
• Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding conventions, including translating clinical documentation into appropriate codes.
• Understanding of US commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payers, including FFS and MCOs, as well as paper and EDI claims processing.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy, familiarity with CAC or NLP platforms, and proficiency in Microsoft applications.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in business or a healthcare-related field.
• Previous ClaimsXten, CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, or health insurance plan experience.
• Professional experience using AI tools and willingness to participate in targeted AI training programs.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information in written, verbal, and visual formats.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to work independently in agile, collaborative environments.
