What you will do
- Review and validate AI-generated CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM claim data elements.
- Verify coding and billing guidelines to confirm accuracy against established parameters.
- Identify and report AI data extract anomalies or defects.
- Provide feedback to AI models to improve performance and accuracy.
- Participate in the development of coding guidelines for AI-assisted workflows.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in cross-functional teams with clinical, technical, and product stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in health information management, Nursing, or related field.
- Active AAPC (CPC) or AHIMA (CCS-P/CCS) certification.
- Minimum 5 years of healthcare experience, including 3+ years in medical coding, auditing, or abstraction.
- Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS coding conventions.
- Understanding of US health insurance payers (Commercial, Medicare, Medicaid).
- Familiarity with AI-driven tools like Computer-Assisted Coding (CAC) or NLP platforms.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in business or healthcare.
- Previous experience with ClaimsXten or AI tools in a professional environment.
- Experience working at CMS or a health insurance plan.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
