What you will do

• Design and implement high-performance backend services capable of handling massive throughput.
• Solve complex problems related to distributed consistency, leader election, and state persistence.
• Build resilient systems using advanced patterns like circuit breaking, backpressure, and resource isolation.
• Apply cloud-native principles to ensure stateful applications run reliably in Kubernetes environments.
• Analyze JVM internals, garbage collection, and thread contention to optimize critical data pipelines.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience with a focus on data-intensive or distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Go, with Python as a plus.
• Strong grasp of distributed systems theory, including CAP theorem and consensus algorithms.
• Deep understanding of container orchestration principles, specifically Kubernetes.
• Ability to work autonomously and solve unusually complex problems without standard documentation.

Nice to have

• Experience contributing to open-source data engines like Apache Hadoop or Spark.
• Deep understanding of database internals, including indexes and storage engines.
• Experience refactoring monolithic legacy systems into microservices or serverless architectures.
