Cyber Security Officer (Cloud)

What you will do

• Monitor, identify, and resolve security incidents while documenting activities in ticketing systems.
• Conduct internal technical and compliance audits to ensure adherence to ISO27001 and internal policies.
• Identify and document security risks across networks, applications, and databases.
• Validate vulnerability findings and provide guidance on remediation efforts.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to advocate for and implement security practices in project initiatives.
• Review changes in the Change Advisory Board (CAB) to prevent security weaknesses.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK and able to work from the Sheffield or London office 2 days per week.
• Experience in a Cyber Security Officer or similar role within a large organization.
• Proven experience securing cloud environments, with a preference for AWS.
• Working knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools, networking principles, and hardening configurations for Linux and Windows Server.
• Understanding of cyber security threats and adversary techniques.
• Ability to liaise with customers and external auditors regarding security controls.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or AWS/Cloud certifications.
• Experience with Rapid7 InsightVM and InsightIDR.
• Experience securing enterprise databases.
• Knowledge of UK financial sector regulations and IT operations.
