What you will do

  • Collaborate on architectural investigations and implementation for circuits including PLL, DLL, ADC, regulators, and amplifiers.
  • Perform design verification using industry-standard tools like SPICE, Spectre, and MATLAB.
  • Interface with layout, verification, and application teams to manage IP delivery from concept to production.
  • Apply innovative solutions to resolve complex technical issues in high-speed and low-power design.
  • Evaluate prototype units in the lab to ensure designs meet specifications.
  • Help shape the technical DNA of the new San Diego design organization.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.
  • MS in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of experience or PhD with 8+ years of experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing mixed-signal circuits such as ADCs, DACs, RX, TX, and PLLs.
  • Strong knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS technologies and low-power/high-speed design techniques.
  • Proficiency with IC design CAD tools including Spectre, Spice, Matlab, Hsim, and Verilog.
  • Proven ability to identify and develop best practices for high-quality design solutions.
