What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical repairs on a variety of gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and specialized equipment.
• Diagnose equipment defects and adapt tools or parts to resolve specific repair problems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and log parts usage in fleet management software.
• Ensure shop area and grounds are kept clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with the fabrication shop team to complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support.

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record required.
• Must be able to work onsite in Sumter, SC.
• Considerable knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in equipment and vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs and work in confined spaces or at heights.
• Strong communication skills and legible handwriting.
• Ability to complete all required safety and maintenance training within prescribed deadlines.

Nice to have

• 2 years of facility maintenance experience.
• 10-Hour OSHA General Industry safety training.
• GED or High School Diploma.
