What you will do

• Oversee and approve VAT returns for EMEA and complex global entities.
• Provide strategic VAT advisory to Finance, Supply Chain, and commercial stakeholders.
• Maintain and optimize VAT determination processes in Oracle and Avalara.
• Lead transformation projects including e-invoicing implementation and AI-driven tax automation.
• Mentor and support the VAT team based in Cork.
• Coordinate responses to tax audits and inquiries across multiple jurisdictions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in indirect tax or VAT.
• Strong expertise in European VAT is essential.
• Proven track record in managing compliance, audits, and cross-border tax issues.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, specifically Oracle, and tax engines like Avalara.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with data tools like OneStream or Alteryx.
• Ability to work in a hybrid model in Cork, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Swiss VAT.
• Experience with digital services or e-commerce VAT models.
• Spanish language skills.
