What you will do

  • Collaborate on the architecture, design, and development of scalable, high-availability backend services.
  • Solve complex infrastructure problems and provide post-release support for core applications.
  • Enhance DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines through automation to streamline deployment.
  • Drive technology design and articulate architectural solutions to product owners and leadership.
  • Conduct post-mortems to analyze and prevent repeat system failures.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to solve concrete business problems.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of backend programming experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with PHP (strongly preferred), Python, Go, or Java.
  • 2+ years of experience with MySQL or similar database technologies.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, database schema design, and caching.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Nice to have

  • Experience with caching technologies like Redis or Memcached.
  • DevOps experience.
  • Experience with full-stack observability tools like New Relic.
  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and containerization tools like Docker.
