What you will do

• Design and optimize high-performance systems using C and Java.
• Engineer performance-critical components across user space and kernel interfaces, focusing on memory, scheduling, and I/O.
• Develop and tune networking pipelines, implementing kernel-bypass or fast-path networking (e.g., DPDK, XDP).
• Optimize Linux kernel subsystems including memory management, schedulers, and VFS.
• Ensure deterministic latency via CPU isolation, thread pinning, NUMA locality, and cache awareness.
• Apply distributed systems patterns, such as sequencers, for total ordering and consistency.

Requirements

• Expert-level proficiency in Java.
• Deep understanding of Linux kernel internals, driver models, and scheduler tuning.
• Practical experience in end-to-end latency optimization and lock-free/wait-free programming.
• Extensive networking depth with socket options, io_uring, RSS, and NIC queue configuration.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and tradeoffs between latency, throughput, and availability.
• Solid understanding of concurrency, synchronization primitives, and memory models.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial markets with market data, order routing, or FIX protocols.
• Familiarity with PTP high-precision time synchronization.
• Experience using eBPF and tracing for production observability.
• Knowledge of RDMA and NIC offloads.
• Expertise in low-latency JVM practices and deterministic GC tuning.
