What you will do

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of platform engineers to drive software delivery efficiency.
• Own and evolve software delivery pipelines specifically for deployment onto physical sequencing instruments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines supporting hardware-in-the-loop testing and instrument simulation.
• Collaborate with development, V&V, and manufacturing teams to streamline integration and handoffs.
• Oversee OS configuration, performance tuning, and system-level optimization for sequencing hardware.
• Establish secure development practices and ensure compliance with internal security standards.

Requirements

• Must have current authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience deploying and updating software on complex physical hardware systems (e.g., robotics, medical devices).
• 3+ years of leadership experience in a Manager, Senior Manager, or Associate Director role.
• Extensive experience with Linux systems administration on deployed hardware, including OS image management.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C++, Python, or C#.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release engineering.

Nice to have

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks in biotech or medical device environments.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux internals and distributed systems.
