What you will do

• Uphold and evolve the game’s visual identity, tone, and environmental storytelling.
• Partner with external development studios to guide art quality and establish efficient workflows.
• Perform paintovers and provide actionable feedback to elevate assets to a AAA-quality bar.
• Collaborate with Tech Art, Design, and Production to ensure assets meet performance and gameplay readability standards.
• Interpret and relay feedback from IP holders to ensure content aligns with established canon.
• Bridge the gap between concept art and final in-game execution.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional game art experience, with at least 2+ years in a lead or senior role.
• Experience working on AAA action RPGs or high-end fantasy titles.
• Deep understanding of real-time 3D game development and visual fundamentals.
• Strong ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and perform hands-on paintovers.
• Experience navigating approval pipelines for established IPs.
• Must be able to work on a hybrid basis in Barcelona.

Nice to have

• Experience working with teams in China or across multiple time zones.
• Familiarity with Unity pipelines and tooling.
• Mandarin proficiency.
• Passion for low-fantasy or grounded world settings.
