What you will do
- Monitor payment gateway fraud detection engines on a daily basis.
- Optimize core fraud detection rulesets to reduce false positives and improve retention.
- Establish a holistic fraud strategy addressing account creation, chargebacks, and payment vaulting.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify platform weaknesses.
- Conduct industry landscape reviews and evaluate new fraud detection opportunities.
- Define and report on key performance indicators to measure fraud reduction.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Fraud Analyst in e-commerce or similar fields.
- Strong background in payment gateways and transactional data flows.
- Proven proficiency in creating and managing fraud engine rules.
- Experience with Python, SQL, or other languages for automation and data extraction.
- Familiarity with fraud schemes such as friendly fraud, account takeovers, and chargebacks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
