Salary: $90,000–$140,000

What you will do

• Architect and optimize enterprise-scale database security and data protection controls.
• Conduct deep-dive analysis of database security incidents and privileged access abuse.
• Manage and optimize database activity monitoring (DAM) infrastructure and policy frameworks.
• Develop investigation workflows using advanced automation and SIEM/cloud platform integration.
• Lead strategic security initiatives and influence organizational security direction across global environments.
• Mentor team members and build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders and vendors.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT infrastructure roles.
• Strong foundation in Windows and Linux system administration and infrastructure design.
• Hands-on experience with database platforms including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL.
• Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Python for building security automation workflows.
• Practical experience with cloud security controls in AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Must be able to obtain a Government of Canada Reliability Status security clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience with SIEM platforms like Splunk or QRadar.
• Background in User and Entity Behavior Analytics (UEBA) tools.
• Familiarity with threat hunting or advanced security analytics.
• Experience with ServiceNow or security orchestration platforms.
