TL;DR

Senior Test Automation Engineer (QA): Developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks for business-critical payroll software with an accent on UI and API test integration. Focus on designing robust test strategies, configuring CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high-quality software delivery within an agile, cross-functional environment.

Location: Must be based in or able to work from Cluj-Napoca, Romania (Hybrid work culture).

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain automated tests using Playwright and Rest Assured.
  • Configure automated tests for reliable execution within CI/CD environments.
  • Collaborate with product owners and developers on bug reporting and analysis.
  • Design test strategies and develop internal testing tools.
  • Define and enforce testing standards, conventions, and architectural guidelines.
  • Investigate and resolve test instability related to timing and environment differences.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in test automation frameworks and coding languages (Java preferred).
  • Familiarity with CI environments like GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience balancing UI and API testing strategies.
  • Solid understanding of test automation architecture and maintainable framework design.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.

Nice to have

  • Awareness of AI-assisted development and testing tools.
  • German language knowledge.
