What you will do

• Create high-detail 3D creatures ranging from realistic animals to original fictional designs.
• Translate concept art into 3D models while maintaining anatomical accuracy and visual integrity.
• Define primary, secondary, and tertiary forms to ensure high-quality visual output.
• Optimize models for real-time rendering while adhering to technical constraints like polygon budgets and LODs.
• Collaborate with concept artists, technical animators, and game designers to ensure seamless integration.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in the game industry, with at least 2 years focused on creatures or animals for AAA titles.
• Expertise in creating fur, feathers, or scales using texture cards or geometric solutions.
• Strong understanding of real-life animal anatomy and ability to adapt it for fictional designs.
• Proficiency in ZBrush, Maya/Blender/3ds Max, Substance 3D Painter, and Marmoset Toolbag.
• Ability to create clean, animation-ready topology suitable for rigging and deformation.
• Portfolio demonstrating realistic creature work including wireframes and texel density.
