What you will do

• Participate in the full design process including simulation, functional schematics, and physical PCB layout reviews.
• Perform hands-on lab work such as hardware debugging and electrical design verification against datasheet specifications.
• Qualify alternate components to address shortages or enable cost reductions.
• Analyze large-scale manufacturing yield data to assess and improve design or test processes.
• Conduct and report on hardware failure analysis for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Completed BEng/BASc in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Demonstrated proficiency with hardware design processes including schematics, PCB layout, and documentation.
• Foundational knowledge of lab equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering.
• Strong verbal and written technical communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with the Cadence Allegro toolset.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Tcl and string parsing with RegEx.
• Background in statistical analysis techniques like histogram distributions, StDev, and CpK.
