What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable ingestion pipelines for Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers of the Medallion architecture.
• Model and transform business data to support operational Power BI reporting and KPI requirements.
• Implement governed data access controls and ensure compliance with PIPEDA and data privacy standards.
• Develop automated data quality checks, error handling, and end-to-end testing processes.
• Collaborate with BI consultants and governance leads to reconcile data definitions and eliminate reporting discrepancies.
• Produce technical runbooks and documentation to enable independent platform maintenance by the client team.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering in cloud-based analytical environments.
• Advanced English proficiency required.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Python for data processing.
• Proven experience with Azure data services (Data Factory, Data Lake Storage) and Snowflake.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, semantic layer design, and Medallion architecture.
• Experience with Git-based CI/CD workflows and governed data access patterns.

Nice to have

• Experience with Databricks (Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables).
• Familiarity with Power BI semantic model design.
• Background in regulated enterprise environments, particularly telecommunications.
• Experience with PII handling and data sensitivity classification.
