What you will do

• Monitor and investigate AML alerts generated across multiple program partners.
• Perform due diligence and ongoing monitoring of cannabis clients, including CRB onboarding and beneficial ownership analysis.
• Prepare marijuana-specific SAR reports (limited, priority, and termination filings) in line with FinCEN guidance.
• Support development and calibration of transaction monitoring rules tailored to specific typologies.
• Conduct regular CRB account reviews, validating cash deposits, sales activity, and transaction patterns consistent with licensed operations.
• Support partner bank regulatory examinations and internal/external audits, including responding to examiner inquiries; investigate alerts tied to negative news, OFAC/PEP screening, and license violations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of BSA/AML compliance experience in high-risk complexity banking environments.
• Experience filing marijuana-related SARs under FinCEN MRB guidance.
• Knowledge of BSA compliance models and how AML obligations flow between partner programs.
• Hands-on experience with AML transaction monitoring platforms (e.g., Abrigo BAM+, Actimize, Verafin).
• Ability to review state cannabis license data and assess alignment between operational structures and banking activity.

Nice to have

• Fintech and cannabis banking experience.
• Experience with cannabis-specific compliance tools (e.g., METRC, BioTrack, Shield Assure, RiskScout).
• CAMS certification.
