TL;DR
Senior Observability Architect (Observability): Designing and guiding the implementation of complex observability solutions for strategic customers with an accent on systems thinking, architecture design, and long-term customer success. Focus on building strategic relationships with SREs and architects, solving hard technical problems, and embedding Grafana’s technology into mission-critical systems.
Location: Remote, must be located on the US West Coast (PST)
Salary: $204,000 - $260,000 OTE

What you will do
- Serve as the primary technical lead for a portfolio of strategic Grafana customers.
- Design and execute observability maturity journeys and technical roadmaps.
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting, RCA, and guidance to drive product adoption.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Product Management to advocate for customer needs and shape the product roadmap.
- Conduct workshops, training sessions, and develop technical documentation.
- Identify optimization opportunities to reduce customer costs and maximize ROI.
Requirements
- Must be located on the US West Coast.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Math, or equivalent experience.
- Hands-on experience deploying and operating Kubernetes.
- 5+ years in technical support, TAM, consulting, or Professional Services.
- Strong understanding of observability solutions (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki).
- Ability to travel up to 25% to meet with clients.

- Deep experience with open source technologies in the observability space.
- Proven track record of connecting product usage to business value (ROI).
- Experience managing the full customer lifecycle in a post-sales capacity.
