What you will do

• Design and implement security architectures for satellite bus software, ground networks, and mission operations.
• Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSPs) and risk assessment packages.
• Integrate cybersecurity monitoring, auditing, and recovery measures across all system segments.
• Define security requirements for inter-satellite links, uplinks, and user terminal interfaces.
• Conduct security risk assessments and threat modeling for constellation components.
• Coordinate security activities with cross-functional teams including systems engineering and program leadership.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR-controlled program requirements.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in information systems security engineering, with 3+ years in space or aerospace systems.
• Demonstrated experience implementing NIST SP 800-53 security controls.
• Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 ISMS requirements.
• Familiarity with ITAR compliance and handling export-controlled technical data.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity or Systems Engineering.
• Knowledge of SPARTA threat framework.
• Experience with satellite constellation architectures, mesh networking, or inter-satellite links.
• Cloud security experience (AWS GovCloud).
• Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer.
