What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET Core and Azure technologies.
• Lead technical discussions and contribute to architecture decisions for backend systems and distributed services.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and design collaboration.
• Improve engineering practices related to testing, CI/CD, code quality, and system reliability.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams to deliver scalable product features and platform improvements.
• Support production systems, including troubleshooting, monitoring, and performance optimization.

Requirements

• 6+ years of backend software engineering experience using .NET / C# in a production environment.
• 2+ years of experience in a Tech Lead or Lead Engineer role.
• Experience building or supporting production applications in Azure.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs and distributed systems.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and source control tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Git).
• Must be based in or able to work from Dublin, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience with CQRS or event-driven architecture patterns.
• Experience working with Cosmos DB, NoSQL databases, or SQL Server.
• Familiarity with containerization or infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Docker, Terraform, Bicep).
• Experience working in high-scale SaaS or distributed environments.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) in development workflows.
