Salary: C$126,700 – C$154,600 per year

What you will do

• Design and create FX animation, procedural simulation, dynamic simulation, and fluid/particle systems.
• Perform lighting and rendering of complex elements and manage shot data.
• Develop novel approaches for stylized and photoreal look development in Mantra and Karma.
• Mentor junior effects artists and provide accurate time estimates for shotwork.
• Collaborate with supervisors and hand off elements to compositing and rendering teams.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work in Vancouver, Canada (Hybrid).
• Expert-level experience with Houdini.
• At least 5 years of professional VFX experience (or 7 years in lieu of a college degree).
• Proficiency in Python scripting and Linux.
• Strong grasp of filmmaking fundamentals, including timing, light, color composition, and physics.
