TL;DR
Tools Engineer (Gamedev): Supporting and improving in-house game-content creation tools with an accent on user experience and technical excellence. Focus on building iterative solutions using C#, C++, and Python to enable efficient game development pipelines.
Location: Must be residing in or be able to relocate to Metro Vancouver, Canada. Hybrid: 3 days per week in studio (first 3 months are fully in-studio).
Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 CAD annually

What you will do
- Support and maintain a suite of in-house game-content creation tools.
- Build and improve tools to enhance the efficiency of the development process.
- Collaborate with tool users to identify needs and implement technical solutions.
- Develop tools iteratively, balancing perfection with practical delivery.
- Focus on improving user experience for internal developers.
Requirements
- Experience building tools with frameworks like WPF or WinForms.
- Knowledge of languages including C#, C++, and Python.
- Valid work eligibility for Canada.
- Residing in or willing to relocate to Metro Vancouver.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous learning.
