Accountant

TL;DR

Accountant (Finance): Supporting core accounting functions including general ledger management, reconciliations, and full-cycle accounts receivable with an accent on job costing and financial reporting. Focus on maintaining internal controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing cash flow through analytical insight and hands-on execution.

Location: Must be based in Abbotsford, BC. This role follows a hybrid working model (3 days in the office) after the probation period.

What you will do

• Manage full-cycle accounts receivable processes including invoicing, collections, and cash application.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Monitor and track job and project costs across materials, labor, and overhead.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes and financial reporting.
• Assist with internal and external audits, as well as tax filings.
• Provide backup support for accounts payable and other operational accounting tasks.

Requirements

• Must be based in Abbotsford, BC.
• 3+ years of experience in full-cycle accounting.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and AR processes.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems.
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (3 days in office).
