What you will do

• Independently design and deliver complex features from requirements to production.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code with comprehensive test coverage.
• Serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical guidance to engineering peers.
• Collaborate with product management to define, validate, and scope technical requirements.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and promote engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 5–9 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java, including multi-threading and performance optimization.
• Solid understanding of Spring Framework (Boot, Security, Data).
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native application deployment.
• Proficiency with RDBMS and NoSQL databases (Oracle, Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
• Must be able to work in a hybrid model in Toronto, Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with XP (Extreme Programming) and TDD methodologies.
• Background in big data technologies and platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and DevOps practices.
