What you will do

• Own the end-to-end architecture of the Data Platform across a multi-cloud estate spanning AWS and Azure.
• Define architectural patterns for data ingestion, storage, transformation, and serving layers to reduce technical debt.
• Develop and maintain the organization's Terraform codebase, setting standards for module design and CI/CD integration.
• Design and govern cloud networking topologies, including VPC/VNet architecture, Transit Gateways, and security controls.
• Establish integration architecture and patterns for API design, versioning, authentication, and observability.
• Architect solutions for cross-region and cross-cloud data synchronization, addressing compliance and latency constraints.

Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience in a senior or lead architecture role within a data platform or infrastructure context.
• Deep expertise in both AWS and Azure data and infrastructure services.
• Extensive experience writing and maintaining Terraform at scale.
• Strong networking fundamentals with practical experience in cloud network topologies and hybrid connectivity.
• Proven experience designing solutions for cross-region and cross-cloud data movement.
• Must be based in Barcelona, Spain for a hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, or dbt.
• Familiarity with Data Mesh or data product architectural approaches.
• Experience with FinOps practices and cloud cost governance.
• AWS (Solutions Architect Professional) or Azure (Solutions Architect Expert) certifications.
• Experience working within regulated industries where data compliance and auditability are critical.
