TL;DR

Telecom Tier 1 Support (Networking): Troubleshooting Layer 1 and Layer 2 circuit issues for cloud communications and managed connectivity with an accent on WAN technologies, router configuration, and vendor management. Focus on resolving service issues via SIP/RTP protocols, managing tickets, and ensuring 24/7 network reliability.

Location: Remote (Must be based in El Salvador)

What you will do

  • Troubleshoot Layer 1 (physical) and Layer 2 circuit issues.
  • Manage tickets and troubleshoot transport issues with CLECs and ILECs.
  • Collaborate with vendors to resolve hardware and software related issues.
  • Support customers via phone, email, and chat to resolve service disruptions.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routers (Cisco, Adtran, Juniper) and firewalls (Fortinet, Meraki).
  • Operate in a 24/7/365 shift environment to provide continuous customer support.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Managed Service or Telecom Support experience.
  • Proven experience resolving telecom technical issues involving voice, internet, SD-WAN, and data.
  • Strong knowledge of WAN technologies and network topology.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, and Adtran routers.
  • Familiarity with SIP, RTP, and traditional TDM networks.
  • Must be based in El Salvador.

Nice to have

  • Experience with network monitoring tools and systems.
  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies (Velo).
