TL;DR
Finance Intern (Energy/AI): Supporting business operations and corporate finance across invoice reconciliation, financial reporting, financings, acquisitions, and transaction modelling with an accent on automation, financial analysis, and operational improvement. Focus on building self-running reporting pipelines, stress-testing transaction models, coordinating diligence, and analysing costs and revenues for partnerships.

What you will do
- Reconcile invoices against contracts, resolve discrepancies, and identify cost savings and operational improvements.
- For Business Operations, build automations, scripts, and internal tooling for treasury, accounting, and reporting.
- Implement AI for faster reconciliation, reporting, and analysis, and develop reporting pipelines for actuals, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
- Build the data and systems backbone supporting tax, audit, and compliance.
- For Corporate Finance, support project, corporate, and trading debt financings and execute acquisitions from research and modelling through diligence and data-room coordination.
- Build and stress-test transaction models, support special projects, and provide cost and revenue analysis for partnership negotiations.
Requirements
- Penultimate- or final-year student, or recent graduate, in engineering, maths, or another STEM discipline.
- Very strong first-principles thinking.
- Comfort working in a fast, ambiguous, and high-intensity environment.
- Analytical, structured, and proactive approach, with ownership and persistence in following issues through.
- Genuine interest in the selected track: operations and process, or deals and financing.
- Strong financial modelling and Excel skills.
Nice to have
- Prior internship experience in banking, investing, consulting, accounting, or a startup finance team.
- For Corporate Finance: exposure to M&A, financing, or strategy.
- For Business Operations: coding, process, and automation experience.
