What you will do

• Analyze orderbook data, market microstructure, and volatility patterns.
• Build statistical models to detect regime shifts and evaluate market quality and liquidity.
• Apply ML methods for short-horizon price prediction and orderbook feature analysis.
• Test trader hypotheses and translate findings into production-ready models.
• Develop lightweight simulation environments for market-making and directional strategies.
• Perform scenario-based stress tests and model hedging effectiveness across exchanges.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, numpy, scipy, sklearn, statsmodels).
• Understanding of machine learning techniques for time series or microstructure-style data.
• Solid foundation in statistics, including distributions, variance, regressions, and probability.
• Experience building models for prediction, classification, or clustering.

Nice to have

• Experience with deep learning for time series (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB for large dataset queries.
• Experience analyzing tick-level or Level 2 data from exchanges like Binance, KuCoin, or Bybit.
• Exposure to crypto markets or market-making concepts.
