Production Designer (Graphic Design)

Location: Hybrid (Office presence required 1 day per week in Cardiff, UK)

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

What you will do

• Develop and amend hirify.global assessments and related materials, ensuring layout clarity and accesshirify.globalility.
• Design and create images, illustrations, and graphics in accordance with the house style.
• Maintain and develop design templates and subject-specific style guides to ensure consistency.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the publishing team to resolve production issues.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advise on the design and layout of assessments.
• Assist in the integration of new software, systems, and working practices.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Experience in graphic design, art-working, or as a technical illustrator.
• Strong typographical knowledge and a meticulous eye for detail.
• Good working knowledge of MS Word and Microsoft Office.
• English: C1+ proficiency required.
• Degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.

Nice to have

• Experience with typesetting in Korean, Chinese, or Japanese versions of InDesign.
• Written fluency in Korean, French, Spanish, or Japanese.
• Experience with Adobe Audition or multi-media software.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience creating technical illustrations for sciences (physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics).
