Senior Level Artist (Gamedev)

TL;DR

Senior Level Artist (Unreal Engine): Creating world geometry and playable levels for Gears of War with an accent on environment composition and world-building. Focus on blocking out modules, implementing PBR shaders, and optimizing geometry based on the Art Director's vision.

Location: Remote/Hybrid (Warsaw, Poland). Must be based in Europe.

What you will do

• Produce playable levels based on the Art Director's vision and Level Design needs.
• Create world geometry and composition within Unreal Engine.
• Block out modules and levels and develop proxy materials.
• Redesign existing assets and model proxy assets.
• Participate in R&D initiatives to improve pipelines and workflows.
• Collaborate with leads and peers to iterate on work based on professional feedback.

Requirements

• Must be based in Europe.
• 5+ years of experience in AAA console/PC game development.
• 3+ years of experience working with Unreal Engine.
• Strong portfolio showcasing playable levels and created geometry.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Maya, Max, ZBrush, or Photoshop.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unreal 4/5 and environment modeling skills.
• Background in Level Design.
• Traditional art and graphic design competencies (typography, color, light).
