What you will do

• Oversee and control plant process parameters and equipment using DCS/PLC systems.
• Perform autonomous maintenance, including inspections, cleaning, and lubrication.
• Manage quality control through sample taking, analysis, and monitoring of product specifications.
• Lead shift teams by delegating tasks, enforcing company rules, and managing team morale.
• Manage plant safety by issuing Permits to Work (PTW) and identifying potential hazards.
• Ensure full compliance with ISO standards and SHEQ regulations across all activities.

Requirements

• Matric with Mathematics, Science, and English.
• NQF 6 Qualification.
• 2-5 years of experience within the chemical industry.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Sasolburg, South Africa.
• Basic knowledge of process safety, firefighting, and first aid.

Nice to have

• National Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
• Direct experience with process control systems.
