TL;DR

Application Administrator (Java/Middleware): Ensuring the deployment, high availability, and performance of company products and infrastructure with an accent on operating 3-layer applications and middleware. Focus on troubleshooting web and application servers, creating automated standardized solutions, and resolving complex platform issues.

Location: Kosice, Slovakia. Home office and flexible working hours available.

Salary: from 1,900 EUR gross/month

What you will do

  • Provide technical support for an assigned set of applications and system elements.
  • Troubleshoot and debug web and application servers (ActiveMQ, Tomcat, JBoss/Wildfly) after deployment.
  • Operate 3-layer applications and create innovative, automated standardized solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to resolve platform issues.
  • Participate in on-call duties.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience with Java-based applications.
  • Hands-on experience with middleware applications and Java-based operating systems.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or Python) and SQL queries.
  • Strong understanding of network diagrams and topology (LAN, WAN, protocols, ports).
  • Experience with RHEL/Oracle Linux OS, LDAP, and Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Fluent English and Slovak language skills are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AppDynamics or CheckMK (Nagios).
  • Prior application management experience.
  • Experience in IT and cloud architecture.
  • Interest in developing skills in Ansible and Kubernetes.
