What you will do
- Own the health of the monetisation funnel and ensure system reliability and performance.
- Design and maintain scalable backend systems for subscriptions, billing, entitlements, and pricing logic.
- Minimize revenue-impacting incidents and improve time-to-detection and resolution.
- Support faster experimentation via feature flags, testing, and analytics instrumentation.
- Collaborate with the Data team to build reporting capabilities for revenue and user behavior.
Requirements
- Experience building backend services for high-throughput, business-critical workloads such as payments, subscriptions, or financial systems.
- Proficiency with databases, APIs, and ensuring data integrity in production environments.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical partners.
- Systems thinking approach, balancing technical excellence with business impact and user experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with payment providers like Adapty, Stripe, RevenueCat, or Apple/Google IAP APIs.
- Experience with analytics pipelines, experimentation frameworks, or feature flagging systems.
- Experience mentoring other engineers or leading technical initiatives.
- Experience with mobile backend integration for iOS, Android, and web.
