What you will do

• Provide disciplinary leadership for a team of 8 QA Engineers, managing their growth and career paths.
• Define and evolve the overall QA strategy, including quality gates, definition-of-done standards, and KPIs.
• Build and own a cross-team test automation platform (E2E, API, integration, UI).
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines using shift-left practices.
• Establish a sustainable operating model for QA in collaboration with tech leads, product owners, and DevOps.
• Develop a QA and test automation roadmap with quarterly goals and measurable milestones.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a lead or senior role with disciplinary or functional leadership in QA.
• Deep hands-on experience in test automation (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, RestAssured, Karate).
• Solid knowledge of CI/CD integrations.
• Familiarity with modern software architectures such as microservices, event-driven, and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Proven experience building and scaling QA teams of 4+ people.
• Must be based in Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin, TypeScript, or frameworks like Spring Boot, Vue.js, React, and NestJS.
• Knowledge of AWS and Terraform.
• Experience using AI tooling like Claude and Copilot.
