What you will do

• Edit and style deliverables for medical affairs, commercial, and patient communications, including manuscripts, posters, and digital assets.
• Perform quality assurance and proofreading of Creative layouts against templates and congress guidelines.
• Collaborate with Medical & Scientific Services to verify content accuracy through rigorous fact-checking of data points.
• Develop and maintain client-specific style guidelines aligned with AMA and agency standards.
• Manage editorial project timelines and budgets in coordination with Account and Project Management teams.
• Mentor junior editors by reviewing work and providing constructive feedback.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5-7+ years of professional medical or science editing experience.
• Must be based in the United States or Canada.
• Expert knowledge of the AMA Manual of Style, grammar, and medical writing guidelines.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, EndNote, GraphPad Prism, and PubMed.
• Experience with journal and congress submissions, including abstract and manuscript handling.
• Strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Editor in the Life Sciences (ELS) or Certified Medical Publication Professional (ISMPP CMPP™) credentials.
• Familiarity with Veeva annotations, Google analytics, and SEO strategies.
• Experience with copyright requirements and purchasing figure/table permissions.
