What you will do

• Lead a team of compositors, providing creative and technical direction for shot creation and finishing.
• Collaborate with VFX Supervisors and Producers to implement client visions to the highest standards.
• Participate in technical and creative calls with directors and clients.
• Coordinate task assignments across internal departments to meet tight deadlines and fast turnaround times.
• Provide constructive feedback during shot reviews to maintain consistency across large sequences.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and ensure overall quality control of deliverables.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working in a VFX studio environment.
• Expert proficiency in Nuke/NukeX, Mocha Pro, and Photoshop.
• Legal eligibility to work in the USA.
• Must be based in New York City, Dutchess, Nassau, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Suffolk, or Westchester counties.
• Proven leadership skills in a VFX production environment with a thorough understanding of film and TV pipelines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with After Effects and CG software.
• Proficiency with Flow (formerly Shotgrid/Shotgun) management software.
