Principal DevSecOps Architect (Python)

What you will do

• Define the technical vision and architecture roadmap for CI/CD using GitHub Actions and enterprise integration patterns.
• Establish platform engineering excellence through CI/CD patterns, IaC templates, and GitOps.
• Integrate compliance and security scanning (Sonar, Checkmarx, Black Duck) as enforceable pipeline gates.
• Design and govern deployment automation to OpenShift using Harness CD or equivalent tools.
• Lead architecture review boards and create architectural decision records (ADRs).
• Mentor Principal, Lead, and Senior Engineers on architectural patterns and security practices.

Requirements

• 12+ years of software engineering and architecture experience with enterprise-scale Python.
• Expertise in distributed systems and web frameworks such as Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS) or Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Proven track record with GitHub Actions and designing reusable workflow templates.
• Strong background in security architecture, threat modeling, and compliance automation.
• Must be able to work on-site in Irving, TX (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Open source contributions to Conda-Forge or Pixi Package Manager.
• Experience with AI-powered development tools like GitHub Copilot.
