Java Backend Lead (Azure and PHP)

What you will do

• Drive technical leadership and provide direction to senior developers for an enterprise-scale application platform.
• Dedicate 75%+ of time to hands-on coding, designing, and maintaining backend applications and REST APIs.
• Collaborate on architecture and cloud infrastructure design within Azure-hosted environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible to manage cloud resources.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines via Azure DevOps and monitor code quality with SonarQube.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, security best practices, and high-quality delivery across the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in Java/J2EE backend development.
• Production experience with PHP for support and enhancements.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, JSON, and microservices architecture.
• Strong database skills in SQL Server and MySQL, including performance tuning and modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Azure, Terraform, Ansible, and NGINX configuration.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using JIRA and Azure DevOps.
