What you will do

• Design and optimize complex T-SQL solutions, including large-scale stored procedures and queries for 4TB+ databases.
• Proactively resolve query performance, indexing, and concurrency issues.
• Collaborate with application engineers to improve data models and access patterns.
• Enforce security best practices using Azure Entra ID authentication and authorization.
• Support compliance initiatives and audits related to HITRUST and SOC 2.
• Contribute to Medallion Data Lake architectures using Microsoft Fabric.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Database Developer or Engineer.
• Expert-level T-SQL skills and deep hands-on experience with MS-SQL for mission-critical workloads.
• Proven track record of managing very large databases (>4TB).
• Deep understanding of query execution plans, indexing strategies, and partitioning.
• Experience with Azure Entra ID authentication for SQL workloads.
• Must be eligible to work in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience with healthcare systems or regulated SaaS platforms (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 2).
• Proficiency with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or Datadog.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for database deployments.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake, Pipelines).
