TL;DR

Location: Lusaka, Zambia. Candidates must have the right to live and work in Zambia; visa sponsorship will not be considered.

What you will do

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day programme operations and financial management in Zambia.
  • Ensure strict adherence to and compliance with hirify.global and FCDO policies and procedures.
  • Manage human resource requirements, including local payroll, recruitment, and consultant onboarding.
  • Track and manage the country workplan budget and monitor the Value for Money framework.
  • Coordinate logistics for workshops, meetings, and travel arrangements in line with security standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all operational and financial concerns in-country.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in project recruitment, HR processes, and operational planning.
  • Proven expertise in financial processes and budget management.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience in stakeholder engagement.
  • Right to live and work in Zambia is mandatory.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Cost Point software.
  • Experience working with donor-funded projects (e.g., FCDO, USAID, UN).
  • Deep understanding of donor compliance requirements and financial reporting standards.
