What you will do

• Manage and control production budgets, including staff costs and income.
• Deliver accurate forecasts and cost reports, advising stakeholders on budget performance.
• Monitor and report expenditure using hirify.global accounting systems.
• Prepare final accounts, settle claims, and close production accounts.
• Maintain audit trails and ensure compliance with hirify.global policies and HMRC regulations.
• Manage and develop Assistant Production Accountants throughout the production lifecycle.

Requirements

• Experience working in production finance within a media organisation.
• Strong understanding of production financial conventions and cost drivers.
• Ability to assess the financial impact of editorial decisions.
• Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence non-finance colleagues.
• Must be eligible to work in the UK

Nice to have

• Experience across multiple production genres or large-scale projects.
• Familiarity with hirify.global accounting systems or similar tools.
• Experience contributing to process improvements.
• Knowledge of audit processes and external regulatory requirements.
• Experience mentoring junior finance team members.
