TL;DR

Head of ML (Fintech): Building and leading the ML/AI function from scratch to optimize payment orchestration with an accent on real-time decisioning systems and recommendation engines. Focus on scaling infrastructure for 100M+ monthly transactions, defining the technical roadmap, and driving revenue through advanced data modeling.

Location: Remote (Must be based in or able to work from Europe, with hubs in Warsaw and Nicosia)

What you will do

• Define the vision, architecture, and roadmap for the ML/AI direction.
• Build and lead a high-performing team of ML engineers.
• Develop a real-time ML decisioning system for transaction routing.
• Create a recommendation engine to improve merchant conversion and revenue.
• Integrate cutting-edge AI technologies to drive product innovation.
• Partner with Product and Data Platform teams to build robust training and analytics pipelines.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in ML, including a lead or management role.
• Proven track record of building and scaling an ML function from the ground up.
• Strong fundamentals in data science with a Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline.
• Hands-on experience with experimentation design and A/B testing.
• Expertise in feature engineering on high-cardinality transactional data.
• Ability to communicate complex technical results to both engineering and executive stakeholders.
