What you will do

• Own the architecture of the intelligent document processing platform and agentic evaluation framework from API design to implementation.
• Design abstractions and interfaces that enable agentic workflows to reason over medical records and claims data.
• Write performant production code in Python and Scala/Java, leading the team through implementation.
• Define foundational technology decisions regarding RAG patterns, multi-modal LLM integration, and prompt architecture.
• Drive reliability and observability into AI systems to meet healthcare-grade standards.
• Mentor engineers on system design, API design, and the creation of production-grade AI systems.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of owning system architecture at scale.
• Deep experience designing Python-based frameworks and writing idiomatic APIs in Python and Scala/Java.
• Experience architecting agentic or multi-step reasoning systems that integrate LLMs into production workflows.
• Strong background in designing systems that process large-scale unstructured data (documents, images, medical records).
• Solid CS fundamentals in distributed systems, data structures, and asynchronous programming.
• Must be based in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spark, Flink, Kafka, Airflow, or Ray.
• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, and other observability tooling.
• Background in healthcare, fintech, or other highly regulated industries.
