What you will do

• Design agent systems from first principles, choosing between single-agent and multi-agent topologies.
• Engineer context windows, tool surfaces, and structured outputs for high-accuracy reasoning.
• Build and maintain rigorous evaluation harnesses to diagnose and fix agent failures.
• Utilize AI tools like Claude Code and Codex to plan, scaffold, and refactor code.
• Develop deep domain expertise in healthcare claims and medical coding guidelines.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of applied ML/AI engineering experience with a degree in CS, Math, or Engineering.
• Strong Python skills with a focus on clean abstractions and async code.
• Hands-on experience with agent SDKs such as OpenAI Agents, Anthropic, or LangGraph.
• Power-user fluency with Claude Code, Codex, VS Code, and git.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with structured outputs using Pydantic or JSON Schema.
• Familiarity with reasoning models (o-series, Claude extended thinking).
• Knowledge of OCR, layout-aware models, or vision-language models.
• Production experience with LLM caching, observability, and cost control.
