AES - Functional Owner (Automotive Embedded Software)

Location: Hybrid work with the office located in Bucharest, Romania; willingness to travel up to 25% is required.

Salary: RON 246,000–360,800 annual gross base salary.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end delivery of features within the assigned automotive embedded software domain.
• Define, plan, and monitor domain activities in line with project scope and timelines.
• Clarify customer requirements and translate them into technical requirements for the development team.
• Coordinate with project leads, architects, functional owners, and test managers on priorities, interfaces, dependencies, implementation, and validation.
• Lead the software development team in implementing and testing features.
• Ensure compliance with hirify.global and customer processes, standards, and quality requirements.

Requirements

• University degree at MSc or BSc level.
• Proven experience in automotive embedded software development, including requirements management, architecture definition, development, and testing.
• Experience working in a matrix-based organization.
• Experience with ALM and Atlassian tools, including Jira and Confluence.
• Analytical and systems-thinking abilities, strong communication and technical presentation skills, and an autonomous, structured working style.
• Good English language skills and willingness to work in a hybrid model from the Bucharest office.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of automotive connectivity or telematics systems.
• Experience in external customer-facing roles.
• Understanding of automotive quality standards such as ASPICE.
• Experience with agile development frameworks such as SAFe.
