What you will do

• Design and optimize manufacturing processes for HDD production using DOE to identify critical process parameters.
• Own sustaining engineering for assigned modules, monitoring SPC charts and leading Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
• Qualify new chemicals and materials, ensuring EHS compliance and mitigating supply chain risks.
• Drive yield improvement and quality through Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) and Lean Six Sigma.
• Support NPI process readiness and lead technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing facilities.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level process engineers on the production floor.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Strong industry experience in process or manufacturing environments (5-10 years preferred).
• Proficiency in DOE methodologies (full factorial, RSM, Taguchi) and SPC tools like JMP or Minitab.
• Knowledge of thin film, surface treatment, and wet chemical cleaning processes.
• Familiarity with failure analysis techniques such as SEM, EDX, XRD, or FTIR.
• Location: Must be based in Bayan Lepas, Malaysia

• Experience with HDD media cleaning technology.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Strong technical presentation and communication skills.
