What you will do

• Support traders and analysts with quantitative and qualitative market research and reporting to identify trends and opportunities.
• Monitor North American power and natural gas market fundamentals, including supply, demand, weather, and storage.
• Collect, validate, and maintain market data from various internal and external sources.
• Produce regular market commentary, analytical reports, and presentations for the trading desk.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of analytical models, dashboards, and tools.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a Quantitative, Economic, Mathematical, Statistics, Engineering, or Data Science field.
• Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities with a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to efficiently analyze large quantities of information and data from multiple sources.
• Genuine interest in commodities markets, energy trading, and market fundamentals.
• Must be based in or able to work onsite in Houston, Texas.

Nice to have

• Experience with data analysis and visualization tools such as Python, SQL, Excel, or Power BI.
• Previous internship or exposure to energy markets, trading, or risk management.
• Knowledge of North American power and natural gas markets.
