What you will do

• Lead the creation and management of news content primarily for online and audio platforms.
• Manage and mentor a team of reporters and newsreaders to produce high-quality, compelling stories.
• Coordinate with TV and social media colleagues to maximize the reach of regional news.
• Plan and execute an effective news diary to ensure a consistent flow of exclusive content.
• Chair editorial meetings to develop local and regional content strategies.
• Contribute to the site-wide management team to support overall staff development.

Requirements

• Substantial professional news experience with highly developed editorial judgement.
• Proven ability to deliver news content for both online and audio audiences.
• Solid knowledge of the news landscape in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
• Strong organizational skills for managing detailed news diaries under tight deadlines.
• Ability to maintain composure and re-prioritize tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment.
