TL;DR

eBeam Automation Engineer (Engineering): Integration and optimization of eBeam sterilization systems into automated filling machines on the E3 platform with an accent on electronics integration and system calibration. Focus on troubleshooting hardware/software interfaces, developing the Dose Calibration Tool, and analyzing field performance data.

Location: Based in Modena, Italy. Travel to Switzerland is required at the beginning of the assignment for knowledge transfer.

What you will do

• Act as the automation integration interface between the eBeam System and Filling Machines on the E3 platform.
• Define, select, and validate electrical components for the Dose Calibration Tool (DCT).
• Troubleshoot eBeam system hardware, software, and DMD transducer signal chains in lab and field environments.
• Perform electronic measurements for analog, digital, and high-voltage systems using laboratory instruments.
• Work with industrial measurement sensors for gas and liquid flow, pressure, and temperature.
• Support data logging and statistical analysis of system performance to drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation or an equivalent technical field.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in industry, laboratory testing, and system validation.
• Proven expertise in analog, digital, and high-voltage electronics, including industrial sensors.
• Programming proficiency in ANSI C, LabVIEW, and PLC platforms (Rockwell Automation and Beckhoff).
• Strong understanding of automatic machinery and filling machine systems.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
