What you will do

• Lead the architecture and design of complex, large-scale distributed systems.
• Develop and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant microservices for real-time and batch data processing.
• Build high-performance REST APIs with a focus on scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Design and implement efficient data models and queries for SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Drive technical standards for code quality, testing, and observability across engineering teams.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and direct technical guidance.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of industry experience with a focus on backend and data engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience designing and operating distributed data systems using microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies (SST, CDK, Terraform, DynamoDB, Kinesis).
• Must be able to work on-site in Austin, TX.
